Here's a rare opportunity to become the owner of a rather special car. Built around ten
years ago with the intention of participating in the Peking to Paris rally, it was constructed
using many new parts and upgrades. The engine was fully rebuilt around a brand new crank. It is
fitted with a high compression head, twin carbs, fully pressure fed oiling with filtration etc.
A Warford 3 speed transmission gives the choice of under drive, standard and overdrive ratios and
gives the car an easy 50mph cruising speed. The balanced engine is very smooth. A foot throttle,
oil pressure gauge, monacle windshield and clock feature in the "cockpit". The radiator is a real
standout feature on the car as are the period correct headlamps.
The car has a distributor conversion and an alternator. The engine runs very well. It is fitted with
desirable wire wheels including two spares (new at the time of the build). An electric fuel pump and
regulator are fitted. Rocky Mountain Brakes take care of stopping. The front axle is a modified
"dropped" version to lower the front whilst at the back the chassis has been "z"d to lower the rear.
A pair of period style bucket seats make for comfortable seating whilst the saddle bags give good
storage capacity. A safety foam filled tank sits behind the seats. A period speedometer is fitted.
The car is being offered at a fraction of the build cost. It has been thoroughly enjoyed by the current
owner including trips to Europe for the Le Mans Classic and it has just returned from a trip to Ireland.
It currently has an FIVA certificate allowing it to participate in historic events. This expires at the
end of the year but it should be possible to extend this.
Please note that whilst we endeavour to describe vehicles as accurately
as possible, it is the responsibility of potential buyers to satisfy themselves
as to condition and originality. Please remember that these cars are now in
excess of 95 years old!
